Hi: Just need to pick some professionals brains for a moment.
My 780xlt-is having problems picking up NOAA weather. At first I emailed the NWS and they said their phone line was down that sent the information broadcast to their transmitter. Well it is working now.
My problem is even when connected to an antenna in my attic it has problems picking up the broadcast.
The antenna I am using is a Radio Shack and is OLD. I have NO idea what frequencies it covers. It has 3 big long ground planes on the bottom and a straight rod shooting out of the top of it. At the top I believe it is just a pointed end or may have small 3 planes there too. Anyone know what it is and what it covers? Would a new antenna work better?
Also anyone having problems getting SmartScan to work through an existing Modem in a PC? I am...keeps giving me MODEM ERRORS.
Dim backlighting is really BRIGHT at night in a dark room!!!! WOW!
