I apologize if this question has been asked previously. I couldn't find it in the archives, per se.I saw the information about making a Motorola Type-II ID to receive Emergency calls with beep alert. (Add +2 to the original ID.) However, this suggestion from this individual states to turn STATUS BIT MODE to "OFF." The manual says not to do this unless you are trying to figure out fleet maps for Motorola Type I systems.
What are the ramifications/results that occur when turning the Status Bit mode to "OFF" on Type II systems?
