Outside in my experience is definitely better. I put one of the radioshack small ground planes in my attic and only used it 1 day.I put my Scantenna outside and it works good. I chose to install it on the soil stack with a RS mount made for this, I used a 10ft piece of 1 1/4 in electrical conduit to mount to it and 100ft of Rg 6u from Home Depot. The bracket costs $6.95 the conduit was $3.95 and the coax was $16.00 with f connectors this coax works good for me and after comparing different kinds of rg6 it had the biggest stinger.I deal with video signals at work and after a converation with a cable installer the stinger on all cables is not created equal. |
