I used to have a CB Mounted in my Old Ford Ranger (which I sold about 6 months ago), with Dual Trucker antennas...I could pick up CB Traffic from about 10 miles away (I lived on the North Side of The Kankakee/Bradley/Bourbonnais, IL area and I could hear the truck traffic on the south side...about 10 miles away)....and my transmission range was about 5 miles (one of my friends lived that far away, and we could talk from our houses, cheaper than a phone call)

both of our CBs were unmodified (though we were thinking of boosting the power...never did though)
