You can have a Motorola Trunk in 1 bank with conventional but you must put and EDACS in another bank and it will see conventional as well and an LTR with conventional in still yet a 3rd Bank.
And you must use a standard serial 9 pin cable. Avoid Radio Shack cables as they are always crap.
And I highly recommend Signal Intelligences' BC-780XLT control software. I have tried all of them and this is the one that is best. The others seem to pay to much attention to duplicating the radios face on the screen wheras Sig Int. concentrates on getting the info back and forth with almost a single mouse click.
