Yep, put mine in a portable camera case with connections for antenna, tape output, has a larger speaker also mounted in the case area. Ext. Ant. connector and builtin telescoping antenna. In the front pouch I placed a switch box and cables and can use it on the 12v from my vehicle, through the 12v dc laptop computer power supply from dell in this pouch or it runs off the 12v 2000ma Panasonic VHS VCR Battery. When I need to recharge the battery I have a set of bannana jacks where I hook the VCR Battery charger up and it charges the battery. My 780 is now the ideal scanner anywhere I go and it seems to run forever on the VCR battery. Now if it was only FULL COVERAGE with no gaps it would be almost the best.
