I have used Bearcat scanners for a long time and have gotten used to reserving channel 222 or 333 or 444 as a quick "scratch" memory that I can always use to key in a quick freq. So for the 780, this becomes my VFO. Since then I have purchased other brands and really like a REAL VFO. I now think Bearcat should have one (or two) too! Still looking for that perfect scanner....
