This would be good if the scanner would scan one CC and then
the next and so on. It doesn't. It will scan one that it hears
for a few minutes then switch to another one in range. The reason
this is not so good to do is because if two stations are in one
of the zones your scanner is not sampling, you miss them. Lets
say your scanner is sampling the distant weaker zone and two
mobiles are talking on the local zone. What happens? You miss
them. If you put the control channels in seperate banks then
you will sample those zones through every scan cycle. It's too
bad the firmware did not handle it different. This would have
saved space.
