It sounds like it is working good for you up there. Systems can be configed different. The way that is working is different then down here in FL. There are some talkgroups that are wide area but not in much use. They pick local detail talkgroups to limit the system usage. (smart) I can tell when a troop D unit is affilated on my local troop L zone. Sometimes I hear units in Broward County well below the line. It means someone from those other zones has travled into range of my local zone. Then when they are back in their local zone I no longer hear their traffic. Interesting how this works. Makes sense. Why rebroadcast traffic in zones that nobody from that talkgroup is in? Happy Scanning, Phil
