Well I am disappointed in the BC780XLT's 800 MHz performance. However, it does very well in both the civil and military airband.

There are a couple of things I have noticed. I live right next to a television and radio broadcast tower. I must use an FM Trap to filter out the very strong signals from 88 - 108 MHz. If I don't it will completely wipe out the VHF airband. I also live right under a cellular phone tower (what luck) and in some portions of the UHF airband cellular phone calls will bleed through.

I have taken my BC780XLT out to the airport and monitored. Without the broadcast radio towers nearby the BC780XLT really shines on VHF and UHF airbands.
