Motorola Trunking Problem

I seem to have a problem staying locked onto the control channel on the Motorola system in my area. I receive a good signal all six bars stay up on the meter, yet every so often the thing blinks out for a second. I can't figure out why. I'm only scanning this bank and it only does it while in "TRUNK". Does anyone know what's going on here?
